About the Oklahoma Hazmat Test

Oklahoma’s highways carry more hazardous materials than you’d think. From crude oil tankers on I-35 to anhydrous ammonia trucks on US-412, our state moves dangerous goods every day. You need to know the rules inside and out.

This practice test covers federal hazmat regulations, Oklahoma-specific routing restrictions, and emergency response procedures. Our questions come straight from the Oklahoma CDL manual. You’ll face 30 multiple-choice questions, just like the real test.

Oklahoma weather adds extra challenges. Ice storms on I-44, high winds on the Turner Turnpike, and summer heat that can degrade cargo. Our test prepares you for those real-world conditions.

We don’t waste your time. Each question gives you immediate feedback with the correct answer and an explanation. Pass the Oklahoma DMV hazmat test on your first try.

What This Test Covers

  • Placarding and labeling – Oklahoma inspectors check these closely at weigh stations.
  • Shipping papers – You’ll need to present them during roadside inspections on I-40.
  • Hazard classes – Knowing class 3 flammable liquids matters because Oklahoma’s oil industry depends on them.
  • Loading and unloading – Special rules apply when you load crude at tank farms near Cushing.
  • Emergency response – Our tornadoes and floods require you to react fast.
  • Vehicle markings – Oklahoma requires specific signage for hazmat carriers.

Study Tips

Study the Oklahoma CDL manual’s hazmat chapter thoroughly. Highlight section numbers that cover placarding and shipping papers – those questions appear most often on the state test.

Take our practice test multiple times. Review the explanations for every question you miss. The real exam won’t let you skip questions, so get comfortable with all 30 topics.

Visit the Oklahoma DMV website for the latest fees and appointment rules. You can’t take the hazmat test without a valid CDL learner’s permit. Plan ahead.
